SME Day 2025: record number of participants in Lazio among students and companies
The event promotes the opportunities and role of SMEs in building the future of young people, with the participation this year of 22 member companies and 1,000 students from Higher Education Institutes and Universities in the Lazio region
PMI DAY 2025, organised by the Unindustria Small Industry Committee and conceived by the Confindustria Small Industry Association, in collaboration with the system's Associations, was attended by 22 member companies and 1,000 students from Lazio's Higher Education Institutes and Universities. This was the highest number ever recorded for PMI Day in Lazio, testifying once again to the vitality and commitment of small and medium-sized enterprises, the beating heart of our region's economy.
The role of young people
The theme of the 2025 edition is 'Choose' in a variety of meanings. Choosing what to become and which path to take to build one's personal and professional path. Choosing with responsibility and courage, in a conscious and informed manner, one's goals and the skills needed to achieve them. The event, which is part of Unindustria's appointments for the 24th Business Culture Week, represents an important opportunity to share with young people the productive and social role of businesses, constantly committed to the creation of products and services of excellence, and protagonists of new opportunities for development, employment and well-being for the territory and the country.
The Value of Work
"Today, on the occasion of the 16th edition of SME Day with the opening of our companies to students, we want to offer a concrete opportunity to get a closer look at the Italian industrial reality, the skills it requires and the professional opportunities it can generate. This year, the theme 'Choose' invites us to reflect on the importance of decisions that build the future: choosing to believe in one's talent, to invest in training, to remain curious and open to change. In a competitive and constantly changing environment, choosing is not just an individual act, but a responsible investment in the future of the country. Our small and medium-sized enterprises are places where ideas, passion and expertise become reality. Opening our doors to young people today means offering them the opportunity to discover first-hand the value of the work, innovation and daily commitment that animate our companies. It is an invitation to choose their own path with awareness and courage, so that they can make free, informed choices based on their own talents and aspirations,' said Cristiano Dionisi President of Unindustria's Piccola Industria Committee.
Social Responsibility
"PMI Day has now become a consolidated social responsibility event, which companies experience as a concrete commitment and a valuable opportunity for dialogue with young people and the world of education. In a historical moment of great transformations for work and society, this initiative represents a bridge between companies, students and families, based on mutual trust and the sharing of experiences and values. Participating in the PMI Day means contributing to the growth of the new generations, transmitting knowledge, passion and enthusiasm, and helping young people to orient themselves with greater awareness in their educational and professional path," stressed Carla Picozza, member of the Confindustria national PMI Day Board.
