The State Police recruitment operation gets underway. The competition for 220 commissioners and the recruitment of 4,400 trainee officers is underway. To participate in the competition for commissioners, the deadline for submitting applications expires on 20 May, those for trainee officers on 29 May. News of the publication of the notices is provided by social channels and the police website. Applications must be submitted using only one of the computerised procedures available at https://concorsionline.poliziadistato.it

For trainee officers, only one application is allowed among the three procedures. Firstly, the selection by examination and qualifications for 2,398 posts, open to citizens from civilian life who meet the requirements for employment in the police force.

Secondly, the selection, also by examination and qualifications, of 1.962 posts reserved for volunteers under pre-secured detention in the Armed Forces who, at the deadline for submitting applications, are or have been in one of the following situations volunteers in pre-secured detention, in service or on leave, who have completed at least twelve months of service as volunteers in initial pre-secured detention (VfpI); volunteers in one-year pre-secured detention (Vfp1) in service, in annual reconfirmation or on leave at the end of the natural expiry of their annual detention; volunteers in four-year detention (Vfp4), in service or on leave, who have served as Vfp1.

Thirdly, a selection, also by examination and qualifications, of 40 places reserved for holders of the bilingualism certificate (Italian and German languages) at B2 proficiency level.

It is expressly stated that each candidate must have a personal certified e-mail address (Pec) for sending and receiving communications relating to the competition.
