'Next week we will file an expert opinion aimed at highlighting a possible biological trace in footprint number 33', i.e. the one attributed to Andrea Sempio and found on the staircase wall not far from where Chiara Poggi's lifeless body was found on 13 August 2007.
This was confirmed by lawyer Antonio De Rensis, who, with his colleague Giada Bocellari, is defending Alberto Stasi, the 26-year-old's then-boyfriend who is currently serving a 16-year sentence, regarding what was reported by the La7 news programme.
The consultancy will be filed in the coming days with the Pavia prosecutors in the investigation against Sempio.
Calderone (Fi): "Nordio to intervene on news dissemination"
'I have submitted a question to the Minister of Justice, Carlo Nordio, on the matter of the reopening of the investigation into the murder of Chiara Poggi, the long and complex trial of the so-called 'Garlasco murder' that led to the final conviction of Alberto Stasi'.
This was announced in a note by Tommaso Calderone, Forza Italia deputy and Fi group leader in the Justice Commission.
