Three seemingly common objects could open a new chapter in the horror of the murdered Romanian escorts in Tuscany.
A lock of hair, a pair of panties hidden underground and, above all, a human vertebrae were found during excavations started yesterday in the grounds in Montecatini - in the Panteraie wood where the remains of the two women were found - and in Monsummano Terme, in the province of Pistoia, around the house and places frequented by Vasile Frumuzache, the 32-year-old Romanian who confessed to the murders of his fellow countrywomen Maria Denisa Paun, 30, and Ana Maria Andrei, 27.
The findings, found between the 'camp of horrors' in Montecatini Terme (Pistoia) and the area around the killer's home in Monsummano Terme (Pistoia), were seized by the Carabinieri and will be subjected to scientific analysis.
The suspicion is that they may belong to further victims and that Frumuzache was not a solitary murder, but part of a larger and more organised mechanism, at least this seems to be the investigative hypothesis under consideration by the Prosecutor's Office of Prato led by Prosecutor Luca Tescaroli.
In addition to the human remains, investigators seized four mobile phones - one of which was hidden under the seat of Frumuzache's car - and four burnt blades found near the house.
