The application for the psychologist bonus for 2025 can be submitted from Monday 15 September until 14 November. This is clarified by the Inps in a circular, explaining that in order to submit the application, the applicant must have an Isee less than EUR 50,000. The maximum amount that can be granted is EUR 1,500 for those with an Isee less than EUR 15,000, EUR 1,000 for those with an Isee between EUR 15,000 and EUR 30,000, and EUR 500 for those with an Isee between EUR 30,000 and EUR 50,000.
The rankings for the allocation of the benefit, divided by Region and Autonomous Province of residence, take into account the lowest Isee value and, if the Isee value is equal, the chronological order in which applications are submitted. Inps announces that the Autonomous Province of Trento informed the Ministry of Health of its intention not to finance the psychologist bonus benefit. Therefore, in agreement with the Ministry of Health, the application procedure will be inhibited for residents in this Autonomous Province.
For 2025, the resources are 9.5 million, so they will be enough at most for a little more than 6,300 applicants if, as in previous years, there will be a demand among those with the lowest Isee to reach the maximum amount.
The drawing up of the rankings, explains Inps, is communicated by sms and/or e-mail to the applicants, at the addresses indicated in the application. In the event that the application is accepted, the relevant measure indicates the amount of the benefit and the associated unique code, which must be communicated for each psychotherapy session to the professional, chosen from among the private specialists who have joined the initiative, notifying the National Council of the Orders of Psychologists (Cnop), and are regularly enrolled in the list of psychotherapists within the Register of Psychologists. The professional, in a special section of the procedure, must indicate the unique code when booking or confirming the psychotherapy session, together with the beneficiary's tax code.
The payment of the amount due, up to a maximum of 50 euros per session, is made directly to the professional in the manner indicated by him/her. No sums shall be credited to the beneficiaries of the benefit. The beneficiary has 270 days, starting from the date of publication of the message communicating the completion of the rankings and the adoption of the measures, to make use of the contribution in question using the unique code assigned. After this deadline, the unique code is automatically cancelled.
