The initiative on the 80th anniversary of the institutional referendum of 2 June 1946
"For me, the Republic is...". Tell in a few seconds what the Republic is for you, post your video on the website of the Presidency of the Republic and together let's celebrate the important anniversary also on the web and social media'.
This is the initiative launched by the Quirinale to mark the 80th anniversary of the institutional referendum of 2 June 1946. "Do you also want to be a face of the Republic? Just a few seconds of video with you in the foreground and complete, with your thoughts, what the Republic is for you. What it represents and has represented,' reads the note with which the Colle launches the initiative.
The site is online
The dedicated website - www.ivoltidellarepubblica.quirinale.it - is online and already some people have decided to participate, making a short video with their mobile phones, in which they tell what the Republic represents eighty years after the referendum of 2 June 1946. The anniversary cannot but be also, and especially for the new generations, a moment of reflection on the meaning of the republican choice, on the recent history of our country. Everyone can participate by contributing to the creation of a living archive of women and men of all ages and regions who daily make up the faces and voices of the Republic'.
