The Russian attack on Kyiv launched during the night between Wednesday and Thursday – “the most massive since the start of the war”, according to the city’s mayor – continues to claim victims: 30 people have been confirmed dead and over 90 injured so far. “Emergency and rescue operations are still under way in Kyiv at three sites hit by Russian strikes last night. First responders have already managed to clear a significant portion of the rubble, but 10 people are still missing. The search operation will continue for as long as necessary. To date, it is known that 30 people were killed in yesterday’s attack on Kyiv. My condolences go out to all their families and loved ones. Nearly a hundred people were injured, including children,” Ukrainian President Zelenskyy said on social media a short while ago.
Meanwhile, a new night-time attack by a Russian drone in the Sumy region has left four people dead and three injured . This was reported by the head of the regional military administration, Oleg Grigorov. “The death toll in the community of Romensk has risen to four following the night-time attack by the Russian Federation,” Grigorov wrote on Telegram.
According to the latest reports, Russian troops have attacked a block of flats with a drone. The strike caused a massive fire. According to the head of the military administration, two women, an elderly man and a girl under the age of two were killed.

At the same time, the pro-Russian administration of the occupied Ukrainian territories reported that the Ukrainian armed forces had struck a market in Tokmak with drones, in the Russian-controlled part of the Zaporizhzhia region, causing at least five deaths and 18 injuries. This was reported by the head of the pro-Russian administration, Evgeny Balitsky. “Reports continue to come in” of further casualties, Balitsky added in a post on Telegram. Crimea has also been targeted by the Ukrainians. New raids have struck the Saky airbase for the second time this week. At least seven military aircraft were damaged or destroyed in hangars that also housed Su-30s, Su-30SMs and Su-24s.
