"I will be able to present to the Council of Ministers within the month of May a measure to regularise and rectify all the small domestic irregularities that exist within the home". This was said by League leader Matteo Salvini, at the presentation of his book, 'Controvento', on stage with Roberto Vannacci at the Temple of Hadrian. The general, candidate of the League for the European elections, took the stage together with the Lega leader. In front of a wall of photographers and TV operators, Vannacci (in jacket and tie) and Salvini (without tie), posed for a few minutes for photos.

These are the values for which Roberto Vannacci is running for the European elections, as he spelled them out in his first public outing alongside Matteo Salvini. 'Europe is offering us a world in reverse. They are trying to remove all identity symbols. We don't like a Europe in which everyone is a bargaining chip,' he added: 'We like a strong Europe, which makes us feel that we are proud to be European and Italian, to make us feel that Italy and Europe are worth dying for. Today this is not aroused in almost any of us'.
