Guide to the 3 October strike: times and sectors involved
General strike involves transport, highways, fire brigade, health and school. Minimum essential services guaranteed.

The general strike proclaimed on 3 October by the CGIL and the Union of Basic Trade Unions (Usb), concerns all public and private sectors. The adherents will therefore abstain from work, in offices, factories, public administration. Guaranteed, however, as required by law, are all essential minimum services. Here are some indications:
MOTORWAYS - For motorway staffthe strike began at 10pm last night, 2 October.
FIRE FIGHTERS - A four-hour strike thatwill begin, for shift personnel, at 9 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. while it will be all day for daily and administrative personnel.
HEALTHCARE - The strike runs fromthe beginning of the first shift on 3 October 2025 to the end of the last shift of the same day.
SCHOOL -The strike concerns the whole day. The CGIL points out that "according to the agreement of 2 October 2020, art. 2, paragraph 5, school managers can take organisational measures to guarantee the service. However, if the announced adherence makes it impossible to provide the service, the school may be closed'.
