Solovyov does not apologise to Meloni: 'He supports the Kiev Nazis'. Solidarity from Zelensky

Vladimir Solovyov's attack on Giorgia Meloni continues. After Tuesday's shock statements made on TV and in Italian, the Russian journalist does not apologise and instead urges the Italian prime minister to answer for her support of Mussolini's ideas and her sympathy for Kiev, which Moscow considers 'Nazi'.

The second attack came on Telegram. "Ms Meloni," Solovyov wrote, according to Agi, "I speak to you as a man and a Jew who has once again been persecuted by the Italian authorities. This has happened more than once in Italian history. I am not a propagandist, but a Jew and an anti-fascist, who addresses you, the followers of the fascist Mussolini, who fought in the war against the Soviet people and who, like Hitler, bears personal responsibility for the death of 27 million Soviet citizens, the genocide of the Soviet people and the Holocaust against the Jews'.

'By sharing Mussolini's ideas,' he continued, 'you adhere to all the crimes of fascist Italia and, logically, you should share responsibility for them. In any case, you show sympathy for these crimes by supporting the Ukrainian Nazi state, which carries out terrorist attacks on Russian territory and has made no secret of its repeated plots to assassinate someone, including my own declared target. And when you answer me personally, always bear this in mind'.

"Full respect to you, Giorgia, and to all of Italia," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on X. "The miserable Russian propagandists will certainly not succeed in diverting people whose compass is the defence of their country's national interests. Thank you and all Italians for such a clear position'.
