“This exceptional deal,” says the business newspaper, “is the latest sign of the massive investment in chips and other infrastructure to support artificial intelligence.”

The operation
According to the newspaper, Elon Musk’s company intends to raise around $10 billion in bank loans and $30 billion in investment-grade bonds to finance the massive chip order.
The institutions involved
The FT goes on to report that the bond firm Pimco is also among the few financial institutions currently in talks to finance the deal. The transaction is expected to be finalised in 2027.
