Checks by municipalities on superbonus frauds with the recognition of a share of up to 50% of the revenue recovered. But also a mini remission in bonis for those who have committed 'substantial' errors in the communications, sent between 30 March 2024 and the deadline of 4 April, affecting the essential elements of the deduction: they could be re-transmitted corrected within 5 working days from the entry into force of the conversion law. Expectation then for the finalisation of the credit spreader. The engines are warming up ahead of the vote on the amendments to the Superbonus Decree in the Senate Finance Committee. The road map in all likelihood foresees the start of voting from Thursday and the closing of voting in the committee on Tuesday 14, so as to arrive in the Chamber of Palazzo Madama on the afternoon of Wednesday 15 and thus close the game at first reading.

A path that will be marked today by the presence of Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti at the work of the Finance Commission. A moment of confrontation in which clarifications are expected. Especially on the issue of a re-proposal of an optional credit-spreading mechanism from 4 to 10 years. In parliamentary circles, it is not ruled out that an amendment signed by the government or by rapporteur Giorgio Salvitti (Fratelli d'Italia) may arrive. Salvitti has his sights set on an introduction that could lead to the involvement of municipalities in the fight against superbonus fraud. Among the hypotheses on which he is working with the Ministry of the Economy is the possibility of a 50 per cent participation of municipalities in the revenue recovered. A share that could be more attractive to encourage mayors to deploy the human resources necessary to carry out checks in the territory.

Among the main topics to be evaluated, as admitted by Salvitti himself, are the extensions of regulations for earthquake-affected areas, interventions for architectural barriers, and for non-profit organisations. The track marked out by the decree, which aims to close the season of credit assignment, is that of a narrow path for modifications. For now, 17 amendments have been declared inadmissible due to extraneousness of subject matter among the 355 presented. As Salvitti pointed out, the amendments 'that do not have coverage are excluded, but we have allowed some groups to correct them in order to put coverage in place'. Among the amendments aiming to get the go-ahead is the one signed by Filippo Melchiorre (Fratelli d'Italia), which aims at a limited window for the correction of substantial errors in the sending of credit transfer notices. On this point, too, the final word from the Economy will be decisive.
