Swg, European elections: Meloni stable in the lead, Pd and M5s on the rise

Fratelli d'Italia stable in the lead, followed by Pd and M5s on the rise. These are the results of the weekly poll conducted by Swg for La7, ahead of the European elections on 8 and 9 June. This is how it would go if one voted today in the results of the poll conducted between 30 April and 6 May 2024 on a sample of 1,200 adults living in Italy (Cati-Cami-Cawi method).
Still leading Giorgia Meloni
.Firmly in the lead in the voting intentions for the European elections is Fratelli d'Italia, the party of the premier Giorgia Meloni, which stands at 26.6%, as in last week's survey, released on 29 April.
Pd and M5s grow
.Six points behind Fdi is the Pd of Elly Schlein at 20.6 per cent. The party is up 0.3% from the last survey when it was at 20.3%. Up half a point is the M5s of Giuseppe Conte: this week it registers 16.1% in the voting intentions surveyed by Swg. The league of Matteo Salvini stands at 8.8%, up 0.2% compared to the survey of 29 April. Tajani's Forza Italia-Noi moderati is at 8.5%, up 0.1% compared to the survey a week ago.
The other lists above the 4% threshold
.Here are the other lists that come out of the poll above the 4% threshold, which allows entry to the European Parliament. At 4.9 per cent we find the United States of Europe, the purpose agreement between +Europa and Italia Viva of Emma and Matteo Renzi, which has grown since last week by 0.4 per cent. They are followed by Verdi e Sinistra at 4.6% (+0.1%), a federation of environmentalist and democratic socialist orientation made up of Europa Verde and Sinistra Italiana. At 4.5% is Azione of Carlo Calenda, up 0.3% since the 29 April poll.
Lists under the 4% threshold
.Here are the lists currently below the 4 per cent threshold. At 2.3 per cent, up 0.2 per cent from last week, is Cateno De Luca's Libertà. Down 0.2% compared to 29 April is Michele Santoro's list Pace, terra e dignità.The other lists are at 1.3%, down 1.9% compared to last week's survey.
