The European Parliament could vote on a motion of no confidence in Ursula von der Leyen as early as October. The bureau of the EU Left group (The Left) has drafted the new text, which will be presented at tomorrow's group meeting to start collecting the necessary 72 signatures. This was reported by Ansa from parliamentary sources. The aim of The Left, which has 46 elected members, is to reach a vote in the plenary as early as the second October plenary session. The main reasons for the lack of confidence are the lack of a clear position on Gaza and the agreement on US-EU tariffs. Also mentioned were the agreement on Mercosur and the backtracking on the Green Deal.
