Maximum temperatures rising sharply in Tuscany; rising in the northern regions; falling in the central and southern Adriatic regions; generally stable elsewhere; high temperatures with peaks of up to 36°C during the middle of the day in the inland areas of Lazio, eastern and southern Sardinia, and central and southern Sicily.

Winds: moderate mistral winds over Sardinia and the southern coastal areas of Sicily; light winds of variable direction elsewhere, with localised gusts in areas affected by thunderstorms.

On Friday, bad weather is expected across much of the country, with some severe conditions in the mountains and on the plains of most of the central and northern regions, particularly Tuscany; in the south, however, the weather will be generally stable with no significant weather events.
