Market rewards Diasorin after turnaround on immunodiagnostics division

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - The appointment of the new president of the immunodiagnostics division gives wings to Diasorin in Piazza Affari (FTSE MIB ). The diagnostics company has appointed Gabriele Allegri as president of the division that is worth 65% of the group's turnover.

 Allegri, as recalled by Intermonte, has more than 20 years of international experience in senior roles in the pharmaceutical, diagnostics and MedTech sectors, with proven skills in leading global commercial organisations in North America, Emea and Asia. Prior to joining Diasorin, he was Vice President, global commercial precision medicine at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine in North America, where he led global commercial strategies for precision medicine and companion diagnostics. He also served as chair of the Precision cancer consortium and as a board member of the precision medicine coalition.

 According to Diasorin's ceo, Carlo Rosa, "his deep experience in precision medicine and his commitment to diagnostic stewardship are fully consistent with our vision for the evolution of the immunodiagnostics division". Allegri's addition is "aimed at improving patient outcomes and supporting the sustainability of healthcare systems, key elements of our long-term growth strategy," the CEO said. "The appointment," Intermonte analysts write, "strengthens Diasorin's leadership in the Immunodiagnostics division" and brings "distinctive expertise in the data-driven use of diagnostics and in the integration of the diagnostic-therapeutic continuum, strategic areas for the group's long-term growth."
