Conto termico 3.0: the portal reopens on 13 April with incentives for municipalities and individuals
After the March halt, the GSE is reactivating access to energy efficiency grants, with resources for public, private and third sector entities.
The portal for accessing the Conto termico 3.0 grants will reopen on 13 April. After the surprise stop on 3 March, the energy efficiency subsidy for citizens, businesses and public administration will start up again, reactivating all application channels. There will therefore be no exclusions, as many had feared at first.
This was announced yesterday by the CEO of the Gestore dei Servizi Energetici (Gse), Vinicio Vigilante, in Trieste during the 'Sport in Regione' event, a travelling initiative promoted by the Conference of the Regions and Autonomous Provinces: 'The portal for direct access to the incentives of the Conto termico 3.0 for private individuals and public administrations will probably reopen on 13 April, following close coordination between the Gse and the Ministry for the Environment and Energy Security. The only way to cope with the high cost of energy is to combine energy efficiency and self-consumption'.
The reasons for the stop
It must be remembered that the Conto termico has an availability of 900 million euro per year: 500 million to individuals and companies and 400 million to the public administration. A maximum availability that, since the measure's inception, has never been consumed. What caused the temporary halt at the beginning of March, in this context, was the line of contributions dedicated to the Pa.
In the space of a few weeks, in fact, a little less than 1.3 billion requests arrived on the portal, for a total of 3,333 files initiated. The applications, more specifically, had focused mainly on one measure, among the novelties of this edition of the grant: the one that offers municipalities with fewer than 15,000 inhabitants incentivesup to 100 per cent of eligible expenses for the energy requalification of public buildings. 85% of the applications received concerned this type of intervention.
Vigilante, in this regard, said that 'the Conto termico is designed precisely for energy efficiency, especially for municipalities, and for those under 15,000 inhabitants, the contribution can come to cover all eligible costs: an extraordinary opportunity,' he added. 'Measures are also envisaged for third sector entities that manage sports facilities, with dedicated bonuses and the possibility of booking incentives. This allows the entities to plan the interventions, check their feasibility with the GSE, and implement them also in subsequent years'.
