Thrive Capital invests $215 million in Amazon: Joshua Kushner’s stock market strategy
Documents have shown that Joshua Kushner’s Thrive has retained its holdings in Figma, Oscar Health and Shopify. At the end of June, his stake in SpaceX was valued at $3.23 billion.
Joshua Kushner’s Thrive Capital held Amazon shares worth approximately $215 million at the end of June, as shown in a regulatory filing submitted on Friday 14 August 2026, adding them to the venture capital firm’s portfolio of investments in technology and artificial intelligence.
Known for its early investments in companies that went on to dominate their respective sectors, including OpenAI, SpaceX and Stripe, the venture capital firm is seeking opportunities within large technology companies to expand its presence in the public market.
According to the documentation, as at 30 June, Thrive held 904,038 Amazon shares worth $215.5 million.
Amazon’s market capitalisation exceeded $3 trillion for the first time at the start of this month, buoyed by a strong rally following solid earnings and signs that its investments in artificial intelligence were driving new demand for its cloud computing services.
