Aviation protest in support of contract renewals
The national strike of 24 hours of the staff of Ita Airways and EasyJet, is accompanied with garrisons from 10 am to 4 pm in the airports of Rome Fiumicino, Milan Linate and Naples, announce Filt Cgil, Fit Cisl, Uiltrasporti, Ugl Trasporto Aereo and Anpac considering that "the negotiations in progress have not produced the expected results" for the renewal of the two national collective labour contracts. "The workers of Ita Airways have the right to the renewal of the collective labour agreement that expired in December 2024," they claim in a unitary statement. "An inadequate contractual framework both in terms of salary and labour protection. In these years in which the company has grown, traffic at Italian airports has exceeded pre-covid levels while inflation has severely eroded wages, it is necessary that Ita Airways' personnel have their labour contract renewed with concrete recognitions in line with the demands in the platform'.
