With the arrival of winter, Trenitalia is first of all strengthening its connections to high-altitude resorts. From Friday to Sunday until the end of March, it is possible to travel with Frecciarossa to Oulx and Bardonecchia from Rome, Florence, Bologna, Reggio Emilia, Milan and Turin.

Two new Frecciarossa connections, on Saturdays and Sundays until the beginning of January, to Trento, Ora, Rovereto and Bolzano from Milan, Brescia and Verona to reach the Christmas markets and mountain resorts.

Daily connections between Turin and the ski slopes of Bardonecchia, between Ventimiglia and the ski slopes of Limone, and up to Turin and Oulx with the regional train are reconfirmed for this winter season.

For those who want to reach the Marché de Noël in Aosta, until 5 January, the regional mode of transport has planned an expansion of the 14 weekend bus routes between Aosta and Ivrea with an additional 7 buses per day.

The FrecciaLink trains complete the offer, providing access during the Christmas holidays and on weekends until the end of March to some of the most popular mountain resorts: Aosta, Cortina d'Ampezzo, Courmayeur, Madonna di Campiglio, Pinzolo Val Gardena, Val di Fassa and Val di Fiemme.

The year 2024, Trenitalia concludes, also marks a relaunch of Night Intercity, with an increase in demand of 7% compared to 2023 and 30% compared to 2022, exceeding 2 million passengers carried by the end of the year. This growth is driven by awareness of sustainability and the convenience of night travel, which capably connects more than 150 stations, including 17 in Sicily, between northern and southern Italy.
