Turin Motor Show 2026: the 5 most interesting cars
The open-air exhibition has begun. As you know, it will run until Sunday. Here are the five models that are sure to catch the public’s eye amongst the 200 or so cars on display.
The motor show is taking place in Turin until Sunday 13 September. It is an open-air event that follows the format established at Parco Valentino; it is therefore not a traditional motor show in the strict sense, but rather an exhibition aimed at the general public, giving them the chance to see cars that the traditional and digital media have, for the most part, already covered some time ago.
It is clear that the majority of brands are Chinese – and this is hardly surprising, given that Asian brands also make up the vast majority of exhibitors at the 2026 Turin Motor Show. It is worth noting that the new Lancia Gamma also made its debut; this is the fourth model from the Stellantis group to be built in Melfi, based on the STLA Medium platform used for the Peugeot 3008, which is manufactured in Sochaux.
Deepal S07 by Changan
Changan has chosen the Turin Motor Show to unveil, for the first time, the 2026 model year Deepal S07, which is making its Italia debut with a price tag of €46,990 and a 7-year or 160,000 km warranty, which extends to 200,000 km for the batteries. The S07, developed by the Turin-based Changan Design Centre Europe, features an upgraded electric powertrain with a single 258 cv motor and a range of 500 km, thanks to a 77.94 kWh battery that supports fast charging up to 200 kW. It takes around 15 minutes to charge from 30 per cent to 80 per cent capacity. The previous model, by contrast, had 218 cv, a range of 475 km and took around 35 minutes for the same charging operation. Furthermore, a finance-related promotion is available until the end of September, reducing the price to €42,990, alongside favourable leasing schemes for private individuals and businesses.
Chery and the new Omoda 4
The Chery Group is returning to the Turin Motor Show again this year with an increasingly prominent presence. Two models are making their Italian debut. First up is the eagerly awaited Omoda 4, which arrives in Turin following its European debut in Barcelona. The 4.42-metre-long crossover adopts the now familiar ‘Cyber Mecha’ design language and features a smart cockpit based on artificial intelligence. The SHS-H full-hybrid powertrain combines a 1.5 cc TGDi petrol engine producing 143 cv with an electric motor delivering 204 cv, for a total output of 224 cv. The second debut is the Chery Q, the Chinese brand’s first all-electric B-segment SUV. Measuring 4.20 metres in length with a wheelbase of 2.70 metres, it uses a 52 kWh battery and a 122 cv front-mounted electric motor. The claimed range is up to 380 km, whilst the Q is already scheduled to go on sale sometime next year.
Itala and Osca from the DR Group
At the 2026 Turin Motor Show, Itala and Osca – the Italian brands brought back to life by the DR Group – are unveiling a host of new models. It all began with the Itala 35, the compact SUV with coupé-like styling, which will be joined in the coming months by the Itala 61: a 7-seater SUV measuring almost 5 metres in length, with angular lines designed to ensure a strong presence on the road. The flagship high-riding model, with a name that evokes the 6-cylinder saloons – this is the Itala. Resting on large 22-inch wheels and fitted with an external leather bag attached to the tailgate, the Itala 61 has yet to reveal its interior, but we know it will feature three rows of seats, with the rear row being electrically foldable, in addition to a head-up display. Under the bonnet, meanwhile, lies a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 231 cv, all-wheel drive capable of distributing torque to each individual wheel depending on road conditions, and an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
