Two days with extreme wines at the Fortress of Bard in the Aosta Valley
The event is scheduled for Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 November
Heroic winegrowing is back in the spotlight in Valle d'Aosta with Vins Extrêmes 2025, the international exhibition dedicated to wines produced in extreme environments.
The event is scheduled for Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 November in Bard (Aosta), from 10 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. on both days. Producers from numerous countries will be present at this edition: from the French Pyrenees to Spanish Galicia, from Sicily to Lombardy, via Valle d'Aosta, Veneto and Albania. And again: winegrowers from Trentino, South Tyrol, Piedmont and Moselle; from Liguria and Tuscany; from Campania, Calabria and Abruzzo; and from Switzerland.
The event was created in 2017 with the aim of highlighting wine production from heroic territories: i.e. mountainous areas, small islands, slopes and terraces, where the cultivation of vines requires constant commitment and hard work. And where the various processes must be carried out almost entirely by hand (given the difficulty or impossibility of using machinery).
The exhibition is organised by the Cervim (Centre for Research, Studies, Safeguarding, Coordination and Enhancement of Mountain Viticulture), together with the Region's Agriculture and Natural Resources Department, with the collaboration of the Chambre Valdôtaine and the Fortress of Bard Association.
The event is aimed at wine professionals and wine enthusiasts, with a rich programme that includes tasting sessions, master classes, wine talks and thematic meetings. Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with the producers present and to explore topics relating to climate change, biodiversity and the promotion of native grape varieties.
