This was written in a post on X by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky speaking about the talks with Russia, in the presence of the United States, initially scheduled for today.

The Russian Defence Ministry stated that the army has captured two villages in Ukraine: Zelene, in the Kharkiv region, and Sukhetske, about 15 km north of Pokrovsk in Donetsk. This was reported by Tass.

An obstetrics clinic in the southern city of Zaporizhzhia was the target of a Russian raid that left at least six people injured. Elon Musk stated that SpaceX has taken measures to prevent the 'unauthorised' use of Starlink by Russia. "It appears that the measures taken to prevent Russia's unauthorised use of Starlink have worked. Let us know if there is more to be done," SpaceX CEO Musk wrote on X in response to a message on Thursday from Ukrainian Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, in which the Kiev official announced that Ukraine is working with SpaceX to prevent Russia from flying drones using Starlink's internet system. "The first steps are already yielding concrete results," Fedorov later confirmed on X replying to Musk. "We are working closely with your team on the next important steps. Thank you for being by our side, you are a true champion of freedom and a true friend of the Ukrainian people."

Next Thursday, 12 February 2026, the United Kingdom and Germany will convene the Ukraine Defence Contact Group at NATO headquarters. A statement from the Atlantic Alliance reads.

"In many regions of Ukraine, repair work is underway to restore critical infrastructure. In January alone, Russia launched more than 6,000 attack drones, about 5,500 guided aerial bombs and 158 missiles of various types against us. Practically all the attacks targeted the energy sector, railways and our infrastructure - everything that supports normal life'. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky writes this on X.

"The attacks continue. In the last week, Russia has used more than 980 attack drones, almost 1,100 guided aerial bombs and two missiles against Ukraine. We are seeing Russian attempts to destroy logistics and connectivity between cities and communities. This is precisely why the need to protect the sky persists. Missiles for Patriots, Nasams, F-16s and other platforms are needed every single day,' he stressed.

Russia launched 85 drones in the night from Saturday to Sunday. The Ukrainian Air Force announced the attack of 60 long-range drones of the Shahed type. Of the total 85 drones, 76 were destroyed or neutralised by electronic interference in the north and east of the country. Impacts involving 14 drones were also recorded at 9 sites.

Russian air defence forces intercepted and destroyed 21 Ukrainian drones over some regions overnight. This was stated in a Moscow Defence Ministry note taken by Tass. "During last night, the air defence forces intercepted and destroyed 21 Ukrainian unmanned drones: 14 over the Belgorod region, five over the Voronezh region and one each over the Astrakhan and Kaluga regions," the ministry said.

"The necessary forces were immediately mobilised. In the course of the day we managed to restore the situation prior to this technical incident, and we are now proceeding with stabilisation and restoration of power supply to our citizens." Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote this on Telegram with reference to the black oput that has affected large areas of the country since this morning. "The causes are being investigated. At the moment there is no confirmation of external interference or cyber attacks. According to the findings, due to the weather conditions, the lines froze and automatic shutdowns occurred," Zelensky specified, adding that "the most serious consequences occurred in Kiev and central Ukraine, in the Vinnytsia region, as well as in Chernihiv, Kharkiv and the Sumy region".

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he expects new rounds of negotiations to resolve the conflict next week. "We are constantly in contact with the United States. We expect details from them on further meetings. Ukraine is ready for any working format. It is important that there are results and that there are meetings.
