Ukraine: UNESCO-listed Cathedral of the Dormition ablaze. Moscow denies involvement

Seventy missiles and 611 drones were launched against Ukraine last night by the Russian military, the Ukrainian president said today, noting that 60 missiles were aimed at Kyiv.
“Efforts to deal with the aftermath of the Russian attacks are still underway in Kyiv, as well as in Kharkiv. Last night, the Russians fired over 60 missiles at the capital alone. In total, 70 missiles and 611 drones have been deployed against Ukraine,” noted the Ukrainian president.
The mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, reported a fire on the roof of the Cathedral of the Dormition, one of the churches in the famous Orthodox complex of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Timur Tkachenko denounced it as a ‘direct attack’ on the site.
Zelensky: ‘One of the most serious crimes committed by Russia against Christian culture’
“This is one of the most serious crimes committed by Russia against Christian culture to date. The State Emergency Service has already brought the fire on the cathedral’s roof under control,” Zelensky said.
