Exports: Unioncamere joins the Maeci steering group
Framework agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs aims to strengthen the international presence of Italian SMEs. Tajani: the target of 700 billion in overseas turnover is within reach
Key points
The network of institutional bodies working to promote ‘Made in Italy’ is being strengthened. The framework agreement signed yesterday by Unioncamere and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (in the presence of ICE, SIMEST, SACE, CDP and the chambers of commerce abroad) commits the parties involved to developing ‘Made in Italy’ exports, drawing on the expertise and know-how of the Italian chambers of commerce.
The framework agreement between MAECI and Unioncamere
The framework agreement between MAECI and Unioncamere aims, in fact, to strengthen cooperation between the Ministry and the chambers of commerce system in order to support the internationalisation of Italian businesses, thereby encouraging an increase in the number of exporting firms and the development and consolidation of their presence in foreign markets.
The Agreement also recognises Unioncamere as one of the key players within the ‘Sistema Italia’ framework for promoting internationalisation, thereby strengthening its involvement in the implementation of initiatives promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) to support exports.
This involvement entails the key coordinating role that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will play in relation to the various promotional initiatives carried out in international markets.
Tajani: record exports are within reach thanks to the agreement
“With the agreement signed today,” commented the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, “the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is stepping up its support for businesses seeking to expand internationally and boost their exports. The target of 700 billion in exports is becoming increasingly achievable.”
