US: Judge gives the green light to Paramount’s mega-takeover of Warner

District Judge Araceli Martínez-Olguín has approved the settlement agreement between Paramount and a group of US states, thereby clearing the way for the massive 110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros.

A group of US states, led by California’s Attorney General, the Democrat Rob Bonta, had taken legal action against Paramount in July, arguing that the takeover would concentrate excessive power in the hands of a single company in the cable television and major Hollywood film sectors.
