'I would prefer full acquittal, but that is certainly not up to me'. These are the words of Daniela Santanché, Minister of Tourism, on the sidelines of the presentation of the Open World Water Ski Championship, commenting on the decision of the Milan judges to postpone to 16 September the trial for false accounting against her and others in the Visibilia case and on the possibility of a statute of limitations. 'Satisfied? I am satisfied when things are done well,' Santanchè concluded.
The judges of the second criminal court in Milan have decided to postpone to 16 September the trial for false accounting against the minister Daniela Santanchè and others, also in order to decide, in two months' time, the question posed by the defence of the exclusion of the civil parties, the small shareholders of Visibilia. A postponement contested by the public prosecutors Marina Gravina and Luigi Luzi who highlighted the 'prescription risk' and 'the interest of justice for the reasonable duration of the trial: with these rhythms,' they said, 'we risk going too far'. After a spat between the prosecutors and President Giuseppe Cernuto, the postponement was confirmed.
