Goodbye Volkswagen ID.2, welcome Volkswagen ID.Polo. Volkswagen chooses the Munich Motor Show, to be held from 9 to 14 September, to present the new electric compact car still covered by light camouflage, but above all to unveil the new names of the future electric range. As well as saying goodbye to the exclusive use of the name ID combined with a number, the Wolfsburg-based manufacturer is back on its feet by combining all-electric models with historical names such as the Polo.

But how much will the Volkswagen ID.Polo cost? While we will have to wait until the opening of orders, which is indicatively expected in the second half of 2026, to find out the complete price list, the future electric Polo is expected to have a starting price of less than 25,000 euros when combined with the entry-level version. Among the equipment available will be the latest generation of 'Travel Assist', which, among other things, enables automatic lane changing and offers traffic light recognition for the first time, the 'Park Assist Plus' with Memory function and the 360° 'Area View' camera.

No news, however, regarding the current petrol Volkswagen Polo, which will continue to be marketed after the introduction of the ID.Polo.
