Awaiting the new business plan, which is expected to be approved in the coming weeks, the WeDo Holding group closes the first quarter of 2025 on a positive note, recording a turnover of EUR 55 million, up 5.7% compared to the same period in 2024, and an order backlog of EUR 58 million between orders and the retail channel, up 56% compared to EUR 37 million in the first quarter of 2024.

The reorganisation of the group

.

The family-run furniture, interior design and contract group, which includes 11 brands and nine production plants, is working on a general reorganisation that should lead "to an efficient and complete industrial structure," explains We.Do Holding president Andrea Olivi. The new industrial plan that we are about to approve envisages the development of an offer of new products and services with added value, I am thinking, for example, of energy, with a strong push towards internationalisation".

It was precisely the international markets, particularly the European ones, that drove the first quarter's results, which were also favoured by the good performance of the Project sector, which recorded important orders in the country. Also fundamental was the group's new organisational model, which in recent months has rationalised the industrial and commercial structure of its many subsidiaries, grouping all the home furnishing brands under the We Do Home brand and the office and healthcare furnishing brands under the We Do Spaces brand, to offer the market a more homogeneous and complete range of products. A reorganisation that made it possible to generate economies of scale in the supply chain and greater quality in the service and offer.

Strengthening in the upholstery sector

.

Precisely with a view to a broader offer, the completion of the product range and greater adherence to every customer need, We.Do Holding has strengthened the upholstered segment with the integration of the Gorini Divani company in Forlì.

"Gorini is a made-in-Italy company that has made craftsmanship its vocation, successfully taking it outside the Italian borders," explains Olivi. With this operation, carried out under the management and coordination contract formula, we want to expand our range of upholstered products and develop an international chain of high-end products".

Gorini Divani has revenues of 3.2 million euro, 20 employees, a medium-high market positioning and strong exports, particularly to Northern European countries. The management and coordination agreement provides that We.Do Holding exercises management and coordination over the company's management and strategic choices, without transferring ownership of the shares.

"We are very satisfied with the agreement with We.Do Holding," commented Gorini's president Davide Gorini. "Joining a structured group with an innovative business plan gives us a stimulating future vision full of challenges, in front of which we have the right tools. Having an expanded business strategy will bring our brand greater notoriety and a stronger push towards internationalisation'.

We.Do Holding also strengthened the 'upholstered' category with a new brand, Nomas, created to strengthen its presence in the retail channel and to consolidate in the mid-market segments.
