Woma Forum approaches: Milan becomes international Life Sciences hub in June
We are just a few months away from the WOMA Forum - Inspiring the WOrld of pharMA, scheduled to take place on 25 and 26 June 2026 at the Allianz MiCo in Milan. The event is shaping up to be one of the most important meetings of the year for the Pharma, MedTech, Healthcare and Life Sciences sectors.
It is not a traditional conference, but a format designed to inspire and educate the professionals of this innovative ecosystem who will be called upon to guide transformative strategies and competencies over the next ten years.
WOMA Forum is aimed at leaders, managers, professionals, both Italian and European, and will host on stage some of the most authoritative voices at global level, to bring new visions, perspectives and global trends that are reshaping the future of this sector around the big themes of change. Designed to welcome more than 1,000 participants from businesses and industry realities, the Forum will span 1,500 square metres of plenary hall and more than 4.000 square metres of exhibition area, dedicated to networking, partners and professional meetings.

The topics address in a strategic key the evolution of the Pharma & Health, corporate strategy, leadership and people, strategies for adoption of technological innovation, digital health and artificial intelligence in companies, to the new ecosystem models of the health economy required to address increasingly complex global markets, touching on purpose and responsibility. WOMA will open on 25 June at 6pm with a Opening Ceremony that will kick off the proceedings and the first scheduled talk. The evening will continue with a high-level meeting and networking event, culminating in the Charity Dinner in support of the AIRC Foundation for Cancer Research, the official Charity Partner of the 2026 edition.
This is not just a symbolic collaboration, WOMA will make a donation in favour of AIRC's mission and actively involve partners and participants in a concrete gesture of collective responsibility, transforming networking into an opportunity for real impact.
On 26 June, from 9 a.m., the event will get into full swing with a day entirely dedicated to speeches. Leading international voices will take the stage, including Jennifer Doudna, Nobel Prize winner for Chemistry 2020 for co-discovering the revolutionary genetic editing technology CRISPR-Cas9. His presence goes beyond the scientific dimension and becomes a powerful message of courage, mentality and vision. He who revolutionised biology with CRISPR bears witness to what it means to believe in an idea when no one sees it yet, to work on the frontier of the possible and to change forever the way we treat and prevent disease. It is an invitation to invest in science with the same determination that drove its discovery.
The speakers will include Bertalan Meskó, one of the leading global experts on digital transformation in healthcare and founder of the Futurist Medical Institute; Amy Cuddy, an international reference in the field of leadership; Zack Kass, former Head of Go-to-Market at OpenAI, who with his experience at a decisive stage in the global deployment of artificial intelligence, offers a concrete perspective on how to integrate AI into organisations, what leadership is needed to drive such a radical transformation and what changes await our industry in the years to come.
WOMA's global outlook is enriched by the presence of José Manuel Durão Barroso, who brings to the Forum a dimension that touches on the theme of purpose, responsibility and the role of leadership in generating real impact on the world. A former President of the European Commission, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2012 in that capacity. Barroso was Prime Minister of Portugal and Board Chair of Gavi (The Vaccine Alliance).
