Twelve locations opened since the beginning of the year and 18 openings planned by the end of the year. There is no sign of slowing down the expansion programme of Alice Pizza, which today has 214 outlets (in 14 Italian regions and 4 foreign countries, 111 are directly operated and 103 in franchising) with a turnover therefore certainly growing compared to the 120 million in 2023.
"We continue to believe in our business model, which combines a high quality artisanal proposal, the pizza by the slice of the Roman tradition, with a rigorous and efficient management - comments Claudio Baitelli, CEO of Alice Pizza - And the facts prove us right. We are proud of the results achieved in the first half of 2024 and of being able to project for this year a growth in the network of over 15%, thanks to significant investments and strategic partnerships that we have created in Italy and abroad".
The goal of the chain - founded in 1989 and which in 2019 saw the entry of the Italian investment fund, IDeA Taste of Italy - is to continue the same growth trend and double the network in five years. In 2024, Alice Pizza opened for the first time in Friuli, thus reaching 14 Italian regions. 36% of Alice's pizzerias are located in Northern Italy and 64% in the Centre-South and Islands. The brand is also present abroad with 6 premises: 1 in France, 1 in Malta, 2 in Spain and 2 in Hong Kong. Forty per cent of the premises are in shopping centres, "where Alice Pizza reaches a wide and varied audience, consolidating the brand's visibility and accessibility". The next five years will see growth in the travel and traffic road channels as well as brand consolidation in city centres and shopping centres.
"Partnerships with high-profile realities are a strategic asset for Alice Pizza: in addition to the agreement with Bluebell for development in Asia the brand collaborates in Italy with Chef Express for openings in the travel channel and with Eg Group for presence on motorways and traffic roads. Among the results we are most happy about is the one concerning employment," continues Baitelli. "In the first half of 2024, Alice Pizza created about 100 new jobs and our goal is to reach 250 new hires by the end of the year, bringing the total number of employees to 1,900.
