Aprilia at Eicma with the Tuareg Rally and the Tuono 457

There are numerous novelties in the Aprilia area inside the large Piaggi Group stand. The first is the Tuareg Rally, closely derived from the Aprilia Racing competition version that won the Africa Eco Race and the Italian Motorally championship. Compared to the Tuareg 660, the Rally version sports a high front mudguard, a new aluminium sump guard, new and more robust hand guards and a new chain guide. The seat and handlebars are higher and more suitable for standing up. The spoked wheels have a narrow ergal channel and are fitted with inner tube tyres, while the Kayaba suspension with 240 mm maxi travel has internal components dedicated to enduro riding. The 659 cc, 80 hp twin-cylinder engine has new upgrades and a more direct mapping dedicated to off-road use. The exhaust by SC Project with titanium silencer contains the weight loss: 199 kg in running order. Aprilia's second novelty is the Tuono 457, built on the technical platform of the recently presented Rs 457 and intended for A2 licence holders: the power of its parallel twin is 35 kW for a noteworthy power-to-weight ratio, considering the 159 kg dry weight. The technical features are top class: aluminium frame and top class electronics including Ride by Wire throttle, three Riding Modes, Abs and traction control.

n Aprilia's dedicated space you can admire the new Factory range, which includes the most exclusive and valuable versions of Aprilia's sports bikes. Now also the new Rs 660 is available in Factory trim and comes standard with multi-adjustable Öhlins suspension and dedicated graphics. The same updates of the RS 660 Factory can also be found on the Tuono 660 Factory. Then there are the new Aprilia V4 Factory: Tuono V4 Factory and the RSV4 Factory (the world's most powerful production homologated superbike thanks to its 220 hp V4 engine). Finally, there is also space for the four Aprilia 125s: the sporty Rs, the naked Tuono, the enduro Rx and the supermotard Sx, all revamped for the occasion.
