Trump: Kamala Harris will be easier to beat

So says Joe Biden in a letter posted on X.

Then, the endorsement of outgoing Vice-President Kamala Harris: 'Dear fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term. My very first decision as the party's 2020 nominee was to choose Kamala Harris as my vice president. And it was the best decision I made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be our party's nominee this year. Democrats: it's time to unite and beat Trump. Let's do it."

The reaction of the Republican candidate, Donald Trump, was not long in coming:

"The dishonest Joe Biden was not fit to run for president, and he certainly is not fit to serve - and never has been! He only achieved the position of president through lies, fake news and without leaving his basement." Thus Donald Trump, on Truth Social, comments again on Joe Biden's abandonment of the electoral race.

"Everyone around him, including his doctor and the media, knew he was not fit to be president, and he was not - And now, look what he has done to our country, with millions of people crossing our border, totally uncontrolled, many from prisons, mental institutions and a record number of terrorists. We will suffer greatly from his presidency, but we will very quickly undo the damage he has caused. Make America Great Again!", continued the former president's post.
