Sweet travel booklet with the first Panettone
Sweet travel booklet with the first Panettone
While the origins of Panettone remain somewhat shrouded in mystery, it is certain that as early as the mid-19th century, Milan was already baking this winter cake that was later to conquer all of Italy. Even the centre and south of our country are now increasingly establishing themselves and specialising in the production of this sweet bread, which stimulates chefs at the most disparate latitudes. The quality achieved is now such as to motivate a December trip to taste those that best express the flavours, traditions and culture of the places where they are prepared. Here, then, is a carnet of sweet adventures, including one in the village of Minori on the Amalfi Coast to taste panettone with tiramisu or limoncello by master Sal De Riso on the beach.
