Citroen C4 X hybrid

A Citroen-branded crossover coupe, the C4X is offered with an internal combustion engine, electric motor and hybrid. Built on the e-Cmp platform, it is 4,600 mm long, 1,800 mm wide, 1,525 mm high and has a wheelbase of 2,670 mm. The boot capacity is ample at 510 litres. The Hybrid 136 version has a 1,199 cc three-cylinder engine delivering 136 hp (100 kW) and 230 Nm of torque. At the same time, the permanent-magnet synchronous electric powertrain delivers 21 kW (28 hp) and 55 Nm of torque, managing energy requirements in the event of low torque demand and at low speeds. It also facilitates starting the combustion engine and recharges the battery during braking, minimising brake wear. The system is complemented by a 48 V belt-driven starter for quick starting of the internal combustion engine, a six-speed, dual-clutch ë-DCS6 electrified gearbox and a 48 V lithium-ion battery.
