Da Vittorio Cafè opens in Rome at the Orient Express La Minerva. When the restaurant?
The core offer of the pastry shop is complemented by small savoury items and the sale of 'take-away kits'. Arsenale Group: an important step to enhance Italian excellence
Da Vittorio Café makes its debut in Rome, a few steps from the Pantheon, in the spaces of the luxury hotel Orient Express La Minerva owned by the Arsenale Group.
"This new interpretation of pastry shop, café and shop, curated by my sister Rossella Cerea, is a first step in the Capital. We bring to a city that we love very much, Rome, our way of understanding and living hospitality: refined and joyful, and delicious," said Francesco Cerea at the ribbon-cutting ceremony held in the presence of the Minister for Food Sovereignty Francesco Lollobrigida.
For Arsenale Group "the project represents a further step in the enhancement of Italian excellence to offer a unique and high quality experience in the Capital".
"At the counter, among our workhorses, there will be cannoncini ripieni di crema (among the symbols of the tristellato bergamasco together with Paccheri alla Vittorio, ed) and we are also studying an offer that celebrates Rome. A scaled but appetising offer, compatible with the space of this small salon, supplied with two weekly shipments of raw materials to be finished, while all the fresh food is prepared here. Landing in such a prestigious place in a city like Rome is a bit of the icing on the cake for us and is un the first step towards having a restaurant in the capital,' added Cerea.
The restaurant, in keeping with the luxury structure that houses it, is characterised by an elegant ambience, where marble and precious woods stand out. The offer obviously focuses on dessert, but there will also be room for jumping: it will range from breakfast to snacks and aperitifs. "Soft brioches, mignon cakes, single-portion cakes, chocolate and creamed ice cream", in the tradition of the Dav DaV Pastry Lab, but also "tasty toasts and sandwiches, are designed to accompany every break you want to indulge in", reads the restaurant's presentation note.
For the opening, on the day celebrating the Armed Forces, the small pastry counter has composed a tricolour evocative of the Italian flag.
Da Vittorio Café will also offer the possibility to buy a selection of products - from seasonal leavened goods such as panettone, colomba or the famous Gioconda, to the kit with which to prepare the iconic paccheri ai tre sughi - that represent the natural extension of the Cerea family's gastronomic philosophy.
The opening in Rome represents a new step in the development project of the Da Vittorio Café concept: "from the historic Cavour 1880, in Bergamo Alta, passing through Da Vittorio Café Louis Vuitton in Via Montenapoleone in Milan, this opening aims to spread the experience and style of the Da Vittorio group in new destinations, always keeping quality, craftsmanship and human warmth at the centre".
Now the expectation is that also one of the Cerea family's restaurant formats born from the experience of the famous tristellato that, adding up all the activities has a turnover of 100 million, will land in the capital.
