Ducati unveils the Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2
The lightest Panigale and Streetfighter ever presented at Eicma 2024: they feature the lightest V2 engine ever built by Ducati

At the Milan Motorcycle Show Ducati ushers in a new era for its twin-cylinder machines, taking the veil off the new Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2, the first bikes in the range to feature the new V2 engine. The two Ducatis feature the 90° V2 with variable valve timing for the intake valves, Euro5+ homologated, 890 cc and 120 hp; its weight of just 54.5 kg (9.4 kg less than the Superquadro it replaces) makes it the lightest twin-cylinder engine ever produced by the Borgo Panigale company; with 70% of maximum torque already available at 3,000 rpm, it ensures that riding is always exciting, even on the road. Three Power Modes are available for the Panigale and Streetfighter V2: High, Medium and Low, with 95 hp; in addition, both bikes will be available in a 35 kW version for A2 licence holders.
The Ducati Panigale V2 was designed from a blank sheet of paper: thanks in part to the new 90° Ducati V2 engine and the monocoque frame (weighing just 4 kg), it becomes the lightest Panigale ever: weight in running order without fuel is 179 kg (15 less), 175 for the S version. The design is inspired by that of the Panigale V4, with a full-led headlight with dual Drl giving it the same "look". The design of the fuel tank, studied in terms of dimensions and surfaces to support the rider in sporty riding, also recalls that of its four-cylinder big sister, adapted however to the new mechanical base and different ergonomic triangle. The Panigale V2 was, in fact, designed to be used on the road as well: the footpegs-saddle-handlebar triangle was therefore defined with the aim of reducing the load on the wrists while maintaining an excellent feeling on the front end during cornering. On the road, therefore, the new Panigale V2 proves to be the easiest and most enjoyable Ducati sports bike ever.
The Streetfighter V2 is the naked version of the same principle as the Panigale V2, with which it shares the chassis based on the lightweight monocoque frame: it is an exhilarating naked bike on the road and performing on the track. Weighing only 175 kg (18 less than the previous model), it has wide and high handlebars that help in sporty riding but make everyday riding easier. The Streetfighter V2 is therefore an agile and at the same time stable and rigorous bike at high speeds, with the same performance as its predecessor between the kerbs but more enjoyable and fun on the road and in everyday use.
The new Panigale will arrive at dealerships in V2 and V2 S versions at the end of January 2025, in Ducati Red livery only, while the Streetfighter V2 will be available from the end of March 2025.
