Europe 'is making the wrong policies to support companies and we have to tell them that. For example, in the automotive sector we abandoned research and took technologies that were not our own, do we say that or not? Saying things means that we want Europe badly or well, in my opinion we want it well'. This was said by the president of Confindustria, Emanuele Orsini, during the 55th edition of the Confindustria Young Entrepreneurs' Convention, underway in Rapallo. "I am a convinced pro-European and in this sense I want to be a bit of a dad telling his son if he is wrong. It must be said that the size of a single state is not enough to respond to geopolitical problems, no country can solve the current problems alone. Whoever thinks this is short-sighted. Europe is fundamental, but it is necessary to have a common debt, to counter powers such as China is fundamental,' he explained, returning to criticise the ability to govern the European crisis on the part of the EU institutions' top leadership in Brussels.

"Confindustria will do its job, our way of being independent"

"The parties must put courage and we entrepreneurs responsibility and trust. We must not continue to divide and look for differences in natural water even where there are none. Natural water is natural water for everyone: don't go looking for differences in natural water too,' stressed Orsini, addressing the audience at the Confindustria Youth Conference.
Nuclear, 'parties opposed to testing will be opposed to the whole future'
Among the topics touched on by the Confindustria leader was the return to nuclear energy in Italia: ''Unfortunately, no opportunity is lost to make any operation ideological. ''If nuclear experimentation does not go well either, then I want to see the parties that are against it'', because they will be ''against everything that will be the future''. It is time for the parties to show courage'', Orsini warned. On energy, 'we need to change the national and of course the regional narrative, and make a square, so renewables must be grounded quickly. Those 14 billion from Europe must be used in the right way,' he added: 'An energy release 2.0 can be a way to help companies but also, of course, families.
