Ash emissions from Mount Etna; third day of flight suspensions in Catania

For the third day running, the suspension of all flight operations to and from Catania’s Vincenzo Bellini International Airport due to the emission of volcanic ash from Mount Etna. The suspension, originally scheduled to last until midday today, has been extended until 23.59 due to the closure of two airspaces, C1 and B3. This has been announced by SAC, the company that manages the airport, which is urging passengers to “check the status of their flight with the airlines before travelling to the airport”.
