Les 3 Vallées, winter wonders between adrenalin-pumping adventures and the luxury of Courchevel 1850

Winter enthusiasts who dream of white peaks, smooth slopes and powder snow fun are in the right place when they come to Courchevel. In the winter wonderland of 'Les 3 Vallées' from the beginning of December to the end of April, you will be spoilt for choice: skiing adventures in all its forms (alpine, free ride, mountaineering, heli-skiing, etc.), slow walks along snowy paths, adrenalin-pumping experiences such as Ice Diving, perfect for discovering the benefits of cold therapy. And again for the more intrepid, Paragliding & Sky-Diving while for the more romantic, the area can be discovered from above while flying in a hot-air balloon. In the iconic destination of Les 3 Vallées, there is also the glamour that has enveloped Courchevel 1850 for more than half a century, born of the will of the Savoie General Council when in 1946 it gave life to a ski resort where until then only a handful of shepherds used to ski in summer. The idea was precise: to create a new resort concept (ski-in/ski-out), which would allow holidaymakers direct access to the ski slopes by building accommodation along them. The idea was a great success, later followed by the designers of the integrated resorts of the 1960s, and revolutionised the way of conceiving holidays in the mountains.
