Here comes the bonus for scrapping household appliances. From 2025 anyone who buys a high-efficiency household appliance not exceeding 30 per cent of the purchase cost of the new energy-efficient appliance of no less than the new class B, produced in Europe, with simultaneous disposal of the replaced appliance. The amount may not exceed EUR 100 for each good purchased. The EUR 100 ceiling may rise to EUR 200 if the equivalent economic situation indicator of the purchaser's household is less than EUR 25,000.
The Battle of the League
.The league, therefore, ticks and in the government's maxi amendment to the manoeuvre under discussion in the Budget Committee of the Chamber of Deputies, the household appliance bonus is introduced. An incentive for the competitiveness of the industrial production system and related employment levels, and which, according to the same regulation presented to the Chamber, will be able to encourage the increase of energy efficiency in the domestic sphere and the reduction of consumption through the replacement of large household appliances. The aid also aims to encourage the 'proper disposal of obsolete appliances through recycling'.
The 50 million fund for 2025
.The home appliance bonus will only be valid for one year and will be exhausted. For the scrapping aid for refrigerators and household appliances in general, in fact, a fund of 50 million euro has been set up at the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy for the year 2025 only. The contribution, moreover, is 'allocated from the resources of the fund within the limit of the authorised appropriation, which constitutes a maximum spending limit', which translated from legalese would mean that once the resources are exhausted, the bonus will be closed. For the aid to become operational and be disbursed, however, it will be necessary to wait for the Mimit's implementing decree to be issued by 28 February 2025. A decree that, as of 23 March, has still not arrived due to the difficulty in identifying the range of goods to be benefited. This is why the government is correcting its aim and aiming to rewrite the rules and then issue the decree.
