Medicine: dates and modalities of the first and second call for access to the second semester
Results will arrive within two weeks, then there will be a few days to book for the second appeal
The first step has been taken. The first roll-call of biology, chemistry and physics, the subjects to enter the second semester and thus effectively enter medical school, was taken by almost 50,000 boys and girls. Now, there are some key dates to keep in mind.
First appeal results
First of all, when the results of the first tests will be known. As they are tests of 31 questions, 15 of which are multiple choice, the results will arrive in a short time: less than two weeks, i.e. by 3 December.
The second appeal
It will be crucial because a few days later, the deadline to book for the second - and final - call on 10 December will expire. For that, it will be possible to register from21 November to 23.59 on 6 December. The results will arrive by 23 December.
How the exam works
Each test will be given 45 minutes with 15 minutes between each. Answers will be worth one point if correct, zero if not given and -0.1 if incorrect. For the exam to be considered a pass, 18 must be obtained and a maximum of 31 (equivalent to 30 cum laude). Above the pass mark you will round up or down to the nearest mark: e.g. 18.2 will be 18 up to 18.4; from 18.5 upwards it will be 19 and so on.
