NATO summit: at the royal dinner long talks between Meloni and Trump

The heads of state and government of the NATO countries arrived at the Huis ten Bosch, the House in the Forest, one of the two residences of the Dutch royals in The Hague (the third is in Amsterdam), for the dinner organised by the King, Wilhelm Alexander, for the participants of the Alliance summit. Among the guests was also the Dutch Prime Minister, Dick Schoof, in charge of current affairs, together with his companion, Loes Murs. He was closely followed by Iceland's Prime Minister Kristrun Frostadottir, Luxembourg's Prime Minister Luc Frieden and Finland's President Alexander Stubb, among others. The king lives in the Huis ten Bosch with his family; the residence is also used for receptions. The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, also arrived.

The dinner in honour of the heads of state and government of the Alliance member states was organised by the royals on the occasion of the NATO summit, which will experience its cloud day tomorrow, Wednesday.

The reception was also attended by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, representatives of the four Indo-Pacific partners and the EU leadership.

The Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, attended the event, sitting at the table with King Wilhelm Alexander, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, US President Donald Trump, Turkish President Rep Tayyip Erdoğan, and the President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel.

Giorgia Meloni and Donald Trump, seated next to each other, had a lengthy conversation discussing the main international dossiers, starting with the recent developments in the Middle East.
