Omoda 9 Super Hybrid System, the sustainable flagship

The new flagship of the Chinese brand of the Chery group is also available in a Super Hybrid System version. This is an all-wheel-drive SUV capable of travelling up to over 1,100 km without ever having to stop to refuel either the petrol tank or the battery, which alone allows a range of up to 150 km. The system includes a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder and two electric motors for a total of 449 hp of maximum power with a torque of 700 Nm. All of this is managed by a dedicated three-speed hybrid transmission with six operating modes: Eco, Normal, Sport, Mud, Snow and Off-Road, allowing adaptability to all driving conditions. The impressive SUV is also able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. On the other hand, the battery recharges itself, or from the outside via charging stations. At almost 4.8 metres long, the Omoda 9 has a diamond-patterned front grille. Adding a sporty touch to the car are the four exhaust tailpipes, two on each side. The interior offers ambient lighting. Average fuel consumption is 1.7 litres per 100 km. List price 51,900 euros.
