Disturbing details and shocking videos emerge of the death of Jad Jadallah, a 14-year-old Palestinian boy shot point-blank by Israeli soldiers last November in a West Bank refugee camp. A BBC investigation based on footage and eyewitness accounts reveals that Jad lay on the ground for at least 45 minutes as he bled to death, surrounded by a cordon of 14 IDF soldiers who allegedly blocked two Palestinian ambulances and prevented rescue.
The Jewish state army had spoken of stone throwing by the young man, but videos show a soldier appearing to place an object next to the lifeless body and then photographing it: an action which, according to Jad's family and human rights organisations, was an attempt to produce false evidence.
A video secretly filmed by a resident of al-Far'a and published by the British state broadcaster captured the harrowing moments: the 14-year-old boy, still alive, waves his arms and throws his hat towards the soldiers to attract their attention and call for help. The soldiers, however, completely ignore him, even going so far as to kick the hat away. Despite the fact that every IDF unit includes personnel trained in first aid, no one intervened. The Israelis also blocked at gunpoint two Palestinian Red Crescent ambulances that arrived on the scene eight minutes after the call.
Paramedic Hassan Fouqha confirmed that he was stopped less than a hundred metres from the boy, unable to intervene as Jad bled to death. The Jewish State Army also claimed that its soldiers provided 'initial medical care', but refused to provide evidence or timetables of the interventions. The young man had been hit, while trying to escape in an alley, by the soldiers' close-range shots: CCTV footage of this was also released. The soldiers eventually loaded Jad into the back of a vehicle and, again according to the BBC investigation, the Israeli army refused to return the body to the family and did not answer any questions about the boy's injuries.
Idf: 'Killed several terrorists who had crossed the Yellow Line into Gaza'
The Israeli Air Force hit and killed several Palestinians, whom the IDF identified as terrorists, after they crossed the Gaza ceasefire line in the northern part of the Strip this morning. This was written in The Times of Israel. According to the Idf, the officers crossed the Yellow Line and approached reservists from the 205th Armoured Reserve Brigade 'Iron Fist', "in a manner that posed an immediate threat". After their identification, the military reported that the ground troops directed an air strike, which 'eliminated some terrorists to remove the threat'.
