Pellegrini recognised as a site of national historical interest
Founded in 1965 by Ernesto Pellegrini, the company now has over 11,000 employees and a turnover of 1 billion 129 million euros
The Pellegrini brand has been entered in the Register of Historic Trademarks of National Interest, a scheme established by the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy (Mimit) and administered by the Italian Patent and Trade Mark Office (Uibm), which recognises Italian companies that have, for at least fifty years, represented the country’s industrial heritage and national identity.
“This award recognises an entrepreneurial journey which, for over sixty years, has combined continuity, a spirit of innovation and a people-centred approach – values that have underpinned the company’s growth and made the Pellegrini brand a benchmark in the Italian integrated services sector,” the company said in a statement.
Founded in 1965 by Ernesto Pellegrini, the company is now the leading Italian provider of integrated services for businesses, schools, hospitals, care homes and public and private institutions, with an international presence and wholly Italian-owned capital. With over 11,000 employees and a turnover of 1 billion 129 million euros in 2025, the Group operates across four business areas: Catering and Vending, Food Supply, Welfare Solutions, Cleaning, Sanitisation and Integrated Services.
“Being awarded the status of Historic Brand of National Interest is, for us , a source of great pride. It is an accolade that celebrates an entrepreneurial journey that began in 1965 with the vision of my father, Ernesto Pellegrini, and has been built, day by day, thanks to the hard work and dedication of thousands of people. Being a Historic Brand means safeguarding an important legacy, but also taking on the responsibility of ensuring its continued growth. We will continue to innovate, always placing people, the quality of service and our connection with the regions where we operate at the heart of everything we do. ‘This is how we intend to remain true to our history,’ said Valentina Pellegrini, Chair and Chief Executive of Pellegrini Spa.
