Stellantis recalls over 1.3 million Jeep vehicles due to fire risk

Stellantis said today, 9 June, that it has initiated a recall of more than 1.3 million Jeep SUVs and pick-up trucks worldwide due to the risk of fire, urging owners to park the vehicles outdoors, away from buildings or other vehicles, pending repairs.

The recall affects Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator models manufactured between 2021 and 2025, due to a defect in the electrical connection of the wiring harness of the electro-hydraulic power steering pump.

In rare circumstances, this problem could cause combustible materials to overheat, potentially resulting in a vehicle fire.
