The colours of Giogo Casaglia, with the dog

When the autumn colours are at their most spectacular, the trails of the Giogo Casaglia Park, in the Tuscan-Romagnolo Apennines, become the setting for an easy and inclusive walk, designed for those who wish to share the experience of the journey with their dog. It is a route to be enjoyed together with your pet, designed as an experience of mutual discovery between people and animals. Amidst beech, chestnut and oak woods, the group experiences one of the most enchanting times of the year. The undergrowth is filled with the scents of moss, mushrooms and damp leaves, whilst the dogs take centre stage in the exploration, following tracks, scents and stimuli that often escape human notice. The itinerary is designed to observe the social behaviour of dogs in the wild and to deepen the bond with your four-legged companion in a natural setting. The days are spent walking along paths leading to the River Rovigo, amongst ancient mills and waterfalls, along the ridge of the Grande Escursione Appenninica and through the park’s most authentic rural landscapes.
