The poetic showAurora at Les Invalides and Parr at the Jeu de Paume

Global Warning is the title of the photographic exhibition that the Jeu de Paume dedicates to the recently deceased British artist. Parr claimed to create "entertainment that contains a serious message if you are willing to read it, but I don't try to convince anyone: I simply show what people already think they know". Here, then, is this roundup of crude yet delicate images depicting the everyday ways in which human beings are adapting to the irreversible climate change that is taking place. From the snows to the beaches to the cities, the master of the Magnum agency documents with irony and disenchantment what is happening in all latitudes of the Earth. At the Marmottan Monet Museum, on the other hand, the exhibition The Empire of Sleep focuses on the symbolic and sensual value of this long daily interlude of our existence represented in his works by Claude Monet in particular. On the other hand, inside the Dôme des Invalides, the poetic light and shape show called Aurora Invalides takes shape at nightfall. Using wine mapping and orchestral accompaniment, it allows visitors to immerse themselves in the history and art of this monument originally inaugurated in the 18th century by Louis XIV. Truly intriguing and perturbing appears in Grotesque the entrance of the artistic impulses of Eva Jospin and Claire Tabouret at the Grand Palais, while the effect produced by the material colours of Gerhard Richter in the futuristic belly of the Fondation Louis Vuitton is bewitching. About to begin, exactly on 10 February, is Light of the North, the exhibition that the Musée D'Orsay dedicates to symbolist landscapes and scenes from Scandinavian domestic life painted by, among others, Carl Larsson and Peder Severin Krøyer,, Carl Forsberg and Philippe Smit.
