The twin towers

The attack that marked and changed the world was that of the Twin Towers.

It was on 11 September 2001 when four planes were hijacked by 19 al-Qaeda terrorists: two crashed into the World Trade Center in New York, causing the collapse of the towers and almost 3,000 casualties. A third plane crashed into the Pentagon and the fourth into Pennsylvania.

Despite the start of a real fight against terrorism, there has been no shortage of attacks over the years that have claimed numerous victims.
